I have been a governor at Menheniot School since 2010 and vice chair since 2013. I live in the village with my husband and two children (aged 11 and 15). My children attended Menheniot school and, prior to that, the village Playgroup. I have always been an actively involved parent, initially being secretary and chair of the Playgroup Committee, then the School Association, and most recently as a school parent governor.
I sit on two committees; Buildings & Finance and Personnel. I have special responsibility for Class 3 and Choughs (wraparound care) and also the subject of ICT.
I love being part of village life, and outside of school I am treasurer of the Old School Committee and Vice Chair of the village Hall committee. I also jointly run a Supper club in the village and fundraise for the Cricket Club.
I feel strongly that the school is a vital part of the community. I believe that Menheniot School offers a great education, both academically and socially, and I am proud to be part of the team that delivers this aspiration.
