Governor Induction

As a new Governor, you will receive a warm welcome and appropriate support. You will receive a Welcome Pack for New Governors from the Governor Services Team at Cornwall Council.

Within the first few weeks you will be invited to join the Headteacher for a tour of the school. This is a great opportunity to meet the staff and the children and to ask any questions that you may have.

The school will also provide you with a Governor Induction Pack. This includes lots of information. This  may include past Headteacher’s Reports, past Governor’s minutes, a copy of the School Improvement Plan and information about current issues. Policies and a brochure are available on the website, along with details of staffing and general school information.

You will be allocated a Governor Mentor who will take you through the first few Governor Meetings and be available to answer any questions that you have.
